2022 ENCATC Research Award Finalist

Jana Konstantinova is a Swiss-based researcher and architect. After her graduation in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Skopje, she obtained her Ph.D. at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Fascinated by the ‘rich’ spatial, cultural and artistic qualities of the Yugoslav cities [timeframe the 1960s-1990s] she had studied Cultural Led Development they have promoted. From it she grasped original cultural strategies, innovation and vocabulary and entire counter Creative Model which is human-centered. She took involvement in several international exhibitions and venues such as Venice Architectural Biennale (IT), Thessaloniki International Biennale (GR), and Lisbon International Triennale (PO). Her essays are published in revue Tracés (Lausanne), Arhi.tek (Skopje), and Domus. Jana’s work has been shared with the audience internationally, for instance as Keynote at the Creative Forum Ljubljana, lectures in schools such as Angewandte Vienna and EPF in Lausanne. Recently she has realized the research exhibition Civic City [www.civiccity.co] in the Contemporary Art Museum, Skopje, North Macedonia.
